COVID-19 Consumer Issues Updates

These short reports summarise issues related to COVID-19 raised with HCCA by consumers. HCCA records these issues in a COVID-19 Consumer Issues Register, which was established in March 2020. The Register tracks issues raised, and HCCA actions in response. Issues Updates report on issues raised only. They are published weekly.

Survey on COVID-19

The Health Care Consumers’ Association developed weekly surveys from 20 March to 14 April 2020 to help us and our health system to provide consumers with the information we all need during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The surveys  focused on the following

  • where people are looking for information about COVID-19 (Coronavirus),
  • whether you are finding the information you need,
  • whether your questions are being answered, and
  • what questions you have that are not being answered.

 

Survey Reports

The report of HCCA Survey 4 – Consumer experience of looking for information about COVID-19 (Coronavirus) is now available and it ran from Thursday 9 April to Tuesday 14 April 2020.

We have done further analysis of  survey 4 data and developed three sub-group reports:
