Using Medicines for Better Health Project
HCCA is part of the Quality Use of Medicines (QUM) Alliance, which has been awarded grants to support consumer health literacy and improve the safe use of medicines across Australia. The first round (2023–2025) focuses on atopic dermatitis, gout, antidepressants in older people, and oral anticoagulants. The second round (2025–2027) expands to secondary stroke prevention, secondary fractures in osteoporosis, menopause care, antidepressants in young people, and managing multiple chronic conditions in older adults. These grants support free educational resources and activities for consumers and health professionals.
Chronic Conditions Network
From our work in the integrated care project and our broader advocacy in chronic conditions, we have identified a need for a coordinated network to bring together community organisations dedicated to support and advocacy for people living with chronic conditions.
